Interesting climbers:
- #30years: From Dem candidate Harley Rouda in CA48. This is how long it’s been since the district was represented by a Democrat.
- #MedicareForAll: Strong showing in the last several days, but predominately due to NH01 candidate Levi Sanders and his supporters (see below).
- #ga06: Largely figuring here due to a Sept. 12 court hearing on whether Georgia will be allowed to use touch-screen voting.
GENERAL TRENDS
On the House side, the fairly obvious #nhpolitics has been a clear winner over the last few days, thanks to Tuesday’s NH election. The most visible figure in the leans-Democratic NH1 has been progressive Dem Levi Sanders, who gathered only 2% of the vote.
On the Senate side, Texas’ Ted Cruz and his minions are keeping up the frantic pace they’ve set since early September (with #choosecruz, #cruzcrew, #keeptexasred, etc.). The truly vast distance between the activity in this Senate district and its nearest rival (and certainly the average) calls for a closer look at exactly who is producing all this activity. We’ll be doing that in the next few days.
